Welcome! Below is a brief overveiw of the class contents

  •  6 PDF Patterns coincide with the currently released physical patterns. Note: Currently, there are only three patterns live and as new patterns are released for the physical club (Aug, Oct. Dec.) they will be added to the virtual club too. I don't want to ruin the surprise, and this way content is continually being added and updated.
  • 3 Video Lessons are foundational, instructions that you can return to when you have any questions about printing the patterns, transferring techniques and materials, embroidery basics, including tools and materials and stitches. You'll also find a comprehensive Materials List of all my favorite tools, materials and resources in the Video Lessons Tabs.
  • PDF projects showcase different ways to use the patterns and inspire you to get creative. This collection of projects covers a range of applications like mending, embellishment and home decor. Again, only three projects are currently live, but more are in the works and will be added to coincide with newly added patterns.
  • Assignments (should you choose to accept it) are like fun homework to reinforce video lessons and projects and give you an excuse to make something. No grades, no judgement, no pressure. Creativity just because it’s fun, and rewarding. I’m working on a way you can share your projects, but for now please share on insta & tag #MRPATTERNCLUB.
  • Comment Box is at the bottom of the page and there for you to ask questions, leave feedback and share any experiences or insights you'd like! I'll be checking in often and replying. I hope that you will share some comments with the group!

+ New patterns will be added here. I hope the patterns & projects below can keep your hands busy until the next pattern drop!
+Pattern Drop Schedule: #4 August/Sept., #5 Oct./Nov., #6 December

#1 Diamond Feb./March

#2 Waves April/May

#3 Starry  June/July

#4 Darning August/September

#5 Rainbow October/November

#6 Vines December

In this lesson I’ll go over how to print and assemble the 15x15 inch PDF patterns, how to adjust the scale and size of the pattern, so you can get creative, and alternatives to printing the full pattern.

Using the program Adobe Acrobat, a PDF reader, which is available for PC & Mac, is very helpful to print the PDF patterns. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (document cloud) is a free version of this program.  This may look different than what is shown in the lesson, since it’s a free version, but you will still be able to access and print the pattern.

+ New projects will be added as new patterns are released.
+ While these projects show specific patterns they are designed to be interchangeable. Get creative and mix and match patterns and projects!

Diamond - Mend & Patch Project

Assignment: Add a functional or decorative patch to a worn piece of clothing. Take a before & after picture to document the transformation.

Waves - DIY Tool Roll

Assignment: Create a customized tool roll for your specific tools. Do you knit, crochet or love to draw and journal? Share your tools and how you will use this new custom home for them.

Starry - Embellish Your Clothes

Assignment: Ok! I know there's something in you closet that needs some stars stitched on it. Add stars or other patterns from the collection to liven up a plain garment. Bonus points for creativity- how about a hat, backpack, or bandanna?

DIY Drawstring Project Pouch

My new favorite way to store projects- in these large, free-standing drawstring pouches with stitched details. Options for adding handles too! Use any pattern for this project!
