Sashiko Mini Patches, Sat. April 13, 1-3 pm EST

Explore the pattern possibilities in these fun mini patches. Perfect for covering stains and small holes, reinforcing weak fabric or embellishing your textiles. In this class will learn traditional sashiko patterns, how to draw and stitch them as well as customizing and tweaking designs. Some sewing knowledge is helpful, but the class is open to all from beginners to seasoned makers.

This is a great way to upcycle scrap fabrics. Feel free to use your own materials and  incorporate textiles that inspire you. Woven materials, like denim, linen, canvas and cotton, are the easiest to work with. 

You probably have all the materials you need at home already, but if you'd like a kit handmade for you I'm creating one-of-a-kind kits for participants using beautiful fabric remnants in various colors. These are mostly solid linen fabrics, but will include some screen printed seconds from my original designs for a truly unique fabric collection. 

Class is held via Zoom and the private class login will be shared 48 hrs before class. Please double check your email is correct at checkout.
